Senior house officer job opening in st james's hospital in emergency department in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you will
·Evaluating patients as requested by the registrar on duty or the nurse in charge
·Demonstrating initiative in assisting with the management of departmental tasks.
·Providing support to senior staff in the Resuscitation area.
·Consistently communicating patient management choices to the nurse in charge.
·Ensuring thorough patient handovers
·Acknowledging the need for support from senior team members .
·Expanding knowledge by participating in emergency medicine teaching sessions, relevant CPD meetings, and engaging in independent study.
·Balancing educational pursuits with service responsibilities.
·Helps with clinical risk management and audits in the department.
·Supports students, interns, nursing staff, and other team members in the Emergency Department.
·Works with support from Consultants, Registrars, and the emergency team.
·Shows proper professionalism in all work and behavior.
·Participates in the ED roster as needed and provides emergency coverage when required due to unexpected absences.
Qualifications
·IMC registration.
·MBBS degree.
·Minimum 1 year experience.
·OET / IELTS exam cleared.
·ACLS, ATLS.
