Broadcrowd ("Broadcrowd") operates the Broadcrowd platform at broadcrowd.me. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights. By using Broadcrowd you agree to this policy.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • ·Profile information: display name, profile photo, city, country
  • ·Phone number (for verification purposes)
  • ·Content you post: videos, images, text, listings, and job posts
  • ·Communications sent through our platform or to our support team
  • ·Payment information: processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers
  • ·Identity verification documents (KYC) where required for seller verification

Information collected automatically

  • ·Device information: browser type, operating system, device identifiers
  • ·Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent, clicks
  • ·IP address and approximate location (country/city level)
  • ·Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)
  • ·Video view counts and interaction data (likes, shares, reactions)
  • ·Error logs and crash reports through Sentry

Information from third parties

  • ·Google: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo
  • ·Stripe: payment confirmation and transaction status (not card details)
  • ·Cloudinary: metadata about uploaded media files

3. How We Use Your Information

5. Sharing Your Information

  • ·With other users: your public profile and posts are visible to all visitors
  • ·Contact details on listings (WhatsApp numbers) are visible to all users who view the listing — do not post a number you do not want to be publicly visible
  • ·Service providers: Firebase (Google), Cloudinary, Stripe, Sentry — bound by data processing agreements
  • ·Legal requirements: if required by law, court order, or government authority
  • ·Business transfer: in the event of a merger or acquisition, with appropriate notice
  • ·With your consent: for any other purpose with your explicit approval

6. Data Retention

  • ·Account data: retained for as long as your account is active
  • ·Posts and listings: deleted when you delete them (subject to active order protection)
  • ·Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations
  • ·Support communications: retained for 2 years
  • ·After account deletion: personal data deleted within 30 days; some retained where legally required

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We use analytics cookies via Firebase Analytics — these are anonymised and aggregated. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings without losing core functionality.

8. Your Rights

9. Children's Privacy

Broadcrowd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental consent where required by local law.

10. International Data Transfers

Broadcrowd uses services based in the United States (Firebase/Google, Cloudinary, Stripe). By using the platform, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries with different data protection laws.

11. Security

We implement HTTPS encryption, Firebase Authentication, Firestore security rules, and server-side validation. Payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant Stripe — we never handle raw card data. If you believe your account is compromised, contact us immediately.

12. Changes to This Policy

Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
